The Secret

❤🕊A shared thought...

One of the hardest parts of the gospel, for many people to grasp and live, is living by EVERY Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God in Full surrender and obedience.

Deciphering when to back off and not be unequally yoked with others, and how much to back off vs. seeking after them, being long-suffering, giving love, grace, help, teaching, etc. Can be very difficult to understand. And at times confusing or feel one sided.

But here is the secret! . . .  We ask God! 

When we are unsure, God never is, and He will direct us. We come in low and surrendered. And ask Him for His heart, His mind and will, His eyes, His estimation.  Because He sees and knows the end from the beginning. And when we come to Him and bring every thought into subjection unto Christ. He will counsel us and confirm what He would have us do in each situation, and regarding every individual.

It may seem like giving up the freedom to choose who we associate with and how we relate to others. But it is actually extremely freeing.  You see, the Lord can give us His perfect perspective, saving us the guess work, and confirm it in His Word and by His Spirit.  He opens our eyes and gives us confidence in Him.  It relieves us of the pressure and burden of trying to discern out of ourselves but rather blesses us with the discernment of the Holy Spirit. Which is always better, bigger, wilder, and higher than our own thoughts, summations, ways, and judgements.  THIS is why He says judge not.  Because when it comes to judging other's hearts or the full situation, we don't have all the facts.  But the Lord, who looks on the heart, and sees and knows all- He does!
