The God of All Hope

📖Romans 15:13

"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost."

Our God, is the God of all hope. And while at times, this world leaves us feeling empty or hopeless and, things may look bleak. We are to put all our Hope in the Lord, our Savior, Jesus Christ.

So , How do we do that?

📖Romans 15:1-4 says,

"We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope."

We can see in these verses, that the Lord points out 3 things:

1- That we gain Hope, Joy & Peace by the Power of the Holy Ghost.

2- By the Word of God, which is written for our learning, and That through patience & comfort in them, we might have Hope.

3- By edifying one another, in the body of Christ.

That says to me, That as we give our lives to God and receive Salvation, by believing in Jesus Christ and confessing Him as our Lord and Savior- Being baptized by water, for a remission of sins, taking upon us His name, and receiving the baptism of fire of the Holy Spirit.- We receive the Holy Ghost as our comforter. Which gives us hope.

📖John 14:15-18 (All of John 14 is more specific)

"If ye love me, keep my commandments.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you."

And the Lord, will therefore be with us, and His Spirit dwelling in us to comfort us, give us peace, stir up faith in us, speak and discern truth for us, and give us the Hope- That He will never leave us, nor forsake us, but will be with us always, and be with Him in Heaven.

We are called to have Faith, Hope, and Charity.  Charity is the pure and perfect love of Christ which is hopeful-

📖1 Corinthians 13:7

"Beareth all things, believeth all things, HOPETH all things, endureth all things."

And the Spirit of God manifests in us as Faith, Hope, and Charity- as we put all or trust and faith in Him.

And that Hope, is the opposite of Despair...

📖Lamentations 3:18-26

"And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the Lord:

Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.

My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.

This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.

It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord."

Our Hope is in the Lord God alone. Not in any man or woman, not in things of this world... but in God alone, who is the Hope of the world.

📖Psalm 146:5-10

"Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God:

Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:

Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The Lord looseth the prisoners:

The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous:

The Lord preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.

The Lord shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the Lord."

🙏Thank you Father for our Hope we have in You. Thank You for Your beautiful grace and mercy unto us. I pray that You will show us that we need never to despair, never to lose hope, but to walk with the Hope we have in Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, In Jesus' beautiful name, Amen.🙏
